Instructors

Alissa Blumenthal

Alissa Blumenthal has a BS from West Chester University.  She has been an assistant children’s art teacher at the art center since 1994 and has an interest in ceramics and mosaics.  Alissa teaches adult mosaic workshops at the art center and participates in ceramic classes. She has been involved in the Art Center’s summer camp, as well as overnight camp and day camp arts & crafts programs with other organizations since 2004.

Lynn Hoffmann

Lynn Hoffmann has a BFA in Illustration from the University of the Arts with a minor in ceramics. She has done continuing education in ceramics through the Clay Studio and Abington Art Center, and independent studies with Syd Carpenter, Liz Stewart, Karen Singer, Marilyn Pritchard and Elyse Saperstein. In addition, she has taught and worked in her own studio for over 20 years.  She is currently showing work at the Woodmere Art Museum Gift Shop and the Ambler Flower Shop and manages a website and graphic design and business.

Kathy Kobelin

Kathy Kobelin has a M.Ed. from Beaver College; B.S. in Applied Arts from University of Maryland.  She has 20+ years of ceramic workshops with nationally known artists such as Warren MacKenzie, William Daley and Suze Lindsay.  She has taught adult ceramics at the Art Center since 1992 and has been the ceramic program coordinator since 2001.  She has shown her work in a number of local galleries and juried craft shows.

Charlotte Lindley Martin

Charlotte Lindley Martin has a BFA in Ceramics from Philadelphia College of Art.  She has been teaching for 12 years at WCAC, and also teaches at Wayne Art Center.  She maintains a private pottery studio and sells her work locally and nationally.

 

Maura Matthews

Maura Matthews is a local artist with a BA in Fine Arts and English from the College of the Holy Cross and a Masters of Education from the University of Pennsylvania.  Her work has been exhibited at the Walters Art Museum and University of Pennsylvania.

 

Claire Anne Perles

Claire Anne Perles has a Fine Arts Degree from Montgomery County Community College and is an eternal student of the arts.  She is a multi-media educator, illustrator and printer that has been teaching adults and children’s classes for 20 years.  Teaching is her true passion and she believes you can never learn too much -and you can always learn something new!  While creating originals works of art and limited edition prints, Claire also supports numerous arts organizations and is Co-founder of the North Penn Arts Alliance created in 1987.
