Summer Art Camp 2014

Whitemarsh Art Center Summer Art Camp for 2014

Monday to Friday, 9 am – 1 pm

Open to campers in Kindergarten (age 5) through 6th grade

Each week, our campers will explore and create with a variety of media and techniques, including: painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, and more. Themes will add focus for pulling our projects to­gether. Each Friday, family & friends are invited at 12:45 to see what our campers have created.

Sign up for as many weeks as you like, projects will NOT be repeated!

2014 Art Camp Dates and Themes:

• June 16th – 20th: Week 1:Out of this World

• June 23rd – 27th: Week 2:The Garden

June 30th – July 4th: No Camp

• July 7th – 11th: Week 3:Food in Art

• July 14th – 18th: Week 4:Under the Water

• July 21st – 25th: Week 5:Once Upon a Time

• July 28th – August 1st: Week 6:The Forest

Where: Camp is held at Whitemarsh Art Center, Cedar Grove Park, 100 Cedar Grove Rd, Conshohocken.

 Cost: Member: $200/week, pay by May 1st and save an extra $10!

Whitemarsh Township Resident: $215/week, pay by May 1st and save an extra $10!

Non-Member: $225/week, pay by May 1st and save an extra $10!

Make checks payable to “Whitemarsh Art Center”, please put the campers name(s) and week number in memo section of check.

Snack will be provided by the Art Center. Lunches and drinks should be packed: please make an effort to use eco-friendly and/or re-useable packaging. Pick up time is 1:00 every day. Please arrive promptly, and inform the art center of your arrival. Thank You!

Registration Policies

Register early to ensure a place in the class of your choice. Decision to run classes is made one week before class is scheduled to begin. Help ensure that YOUR class runs!

Please Note: Register early! There will be an additional $20 charged for walk-in registrations once class begins. There will be $20 charged for online registrations that take place within 24-hours of class start (unless noted otherwise). Thank You

Refund Policy

Background and Rationale

This policy formalizes all existing refund practices and supersedes that which is written in class materials, brochures and on the Whitemarsh Art Center website.

Policy Description

Class Cancellation

WAC reserves the right to cancel any program or event due to insufficient participation, or other circumstances that in its determination, may affect the quality of the experience.

Our goal is to determine if a program or event will run at least 5 days before the start. However, certain circumstances may cause a class cancellation at any time.

In the event of a class cancellation, all participants (or parents of youth) will be notified via e-mail, and if the class has not begun, a full refund will be issued. A partial refund will be issued if the class is cancelled after the start.

Individual Request for Refund

A participant may request to be removed from a class and receive a full refund (less $5 processing charge) any time up to 10 calendar days before the class starts.

Participants requesting a refund within 10 days of the class start will receive a 50% refund1. In the event that the class is cancelled after such a request, a full refund will be issued.

Once a class starts, no refunds will be issued for classes missed or early withdrawal. Any student removed from a class due to disruptive or dangerous behavior will not receive a refund for remaining classes.

Form of Refund

Refunds will be issued in the form of check if payment was received by check or cash, and by credit card if payment was received in that manner. No cash will be refunded.

Refunds may take up to 3 weeks to be received.

<sup>1</sup>Partial refund is offered due to the proximity of class start because certain expenses, operational decisions, teacher commitments and supply purchases have already occurred. The previous policy in effect was “No Refund”.
