Calling all Crafters: Craft Market 2008 DEADLINE: Deadline for entries is September 31, 2008
The Whitemarsh Community Art Center will be holding our 26th annual Craft Market on Thursday Dec. 4th through Sunday Dec. 7th, 2008 at the Barn in Cedar Grove Park on Cedar Grove Rd. in Conshohocken. The show offers an outstanding selection of fine crafts by artists/craftspeople living and working on our region. If you have an interest in participating in our show, please note the following:
ELIGIBILITY: Open to producers of fine original craft working in clay, fiber, metal, wood, glass, paper, etc. Work should be current. No work based on holiday themes are accepted. Craftpersons are not required to be at this event. Our installation committee sets the show up in “gallery style.” The show will be monitored by a dedicated staff of volunteers.
JURIED BY COMMITTEE: Artists are asked to mail in five photos or quality digital color jpegs (300dpi) representing their craft. Include a brief resume and/or artist’s statement. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) for return of images and registration paperwork. Artists may also enter via the internet, please e-mail images to www.whitemarsharts.org for jury process. Artist will be notified shortly after we receive your information.
FEE: A $30.00 fee payable to Whitemarsh Community Art Center. Application fees are non-refundable. The application fee goes toward publicity and printing to promote the Craft Market. Fees must be included with application.

SALE OF WORK: The Art Center retains 30% commission on the sale of all works. Work is dropped off the Monday before the Craft Market for installation, and picked up on Sunday afternoon at the close of the Craft Market.
